A Midi Skirt for the Office

I don't know what happened to this post, I thought I'd published it but found it sitting in my draft pile.  Sorry if you've already seen it somehow, something weird happened there!

Anyway, a few weeks ago I finally wore the midi skirt that had been hanging in my wardrobe for about 2 years!  I enjoyed wearing it, and hope to come up with some other combinations now to get some more wear out of it.  The weather's turned rainy again here so I might try it with boots one day.

Midi skirt, F&F at Tesco
Clarks 'Concert Ticket' suede shoes in red
Primark stripe cardigan
Red Next top, thrifted
'60s style sunglasses, Dorothy Perkins
Patent belt, off another skirt
Pink polkadot tights, M&S

How would you style this skirt?  I know the trendy thing to do is to pair a slogan tee with a midi and some killer heels, but I'm leaning towards a more classic vintage look.

  1. Porcelina, you cannot go wrong with a Midi Skirt in a Classic Color and Shape or with Stripes. You can't go wrong with Red Shoes either. Black, White & Red is a favorite trio combination of mine. Your shoes and tights are gorgeous!!

  2. I love this look--perfect for the office! The skirt with those fabulous red shoes is just classic. I love those two pieces together.

And since you asked, I would style this dress with a nice, classic blouse--maybe something with a pop of color--a broad belt, and some shiny, black heels. :)

    Cheers!

  4. Love this outfit. I am a fan of vintage looks, as well as clark's shoes. I have to find some red ones like these. The midi skirt is adorable on you.

  5. I love those shoes! And I think I like the more vintage look with the midi skirts rather than the graphic tee

  10. I think I would probably wear a graphic tee and ankle boots, just as you say. I like the way you have found your individual style and don't follow the crowd. Thanks for visitingmy blog. I'm now following you also on bloglovin. I will leave my link in case you're interested.

  11. What a classic, becoming and very pretty skirt. I love that you partnered it with sweet red shoes. That colour combo is sophisticated and fun at the same time. You really look charming, dear gal!
