Named 'Ty Gwyn' (pronounced tea-gwin), Welsh for 'White House', the property has 5 bedrooms and beautiful grounds. I love the long, sloping roof at the front (a 'cat slide' roof) and the porch with its stone floor, but it seems to me from the pictures that you could still spend a fair bit on internal decor upstairs. I loved Roald Dahl books when I was younger, but it was his 'grown up' book 'Going Solo' that was my absolute favourite, which told of Dahl's experiences as a WWII pilot in the RAF. I think even from my childhood years I was developing an interest in 20th century history that eventually led to my love of vintage style.

What do you think of the house? Do you think it's worth the price tag? Or do you think that its 'Roald Dahl' premium is too high?
It could be a lovely house, it looks a little over modernised and show-homey at me but that could be fixed, especially if you can afford 1.5 million! x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous house! I'd live there ;)
ReplyDeleteIt looks nothing on the inside how you would expect, judging on the outside! I adore Dahl's books, a real treasure of my childhood, and I particularly loved Going Solo too, the part where the mamba kills the dog had me crying my heart out. It filled me with both fear and curiosity, just like all his books!
ReplyDeleteOh, the wallpaper in the living room - it's like sunshine!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely, but too high a price for any sane person, surely... I also grew up on Roald Dahl (I've never read Going Solo but now I want to), but that doesn't persuade me! Mind you, I'm a million or so off affording it... CC x
Oh! I love it. Love this post. I love Roald Dahl. I think he was a genius. That house is lovely. Aww. Money, why have you forsaken me?

Love the house. A bit too rich for my blood... but that price would be a bargain in some American markets! Housing in some areas of off the charts!
ReplyDeleteCheers and following,
