My tea drawer is stocked up at work. I like to have different brews, as I go through phases. Recently I've been enjoying a Chai tea from Marks and Spencer that I bought yonks ago and forgot about. It may have slipped slightly passed its best before date, but it still tastes nice so I'm going to use it up.
Clockwise from top left: Clipper Wild Berry organic infusion, Lipton Lemon & Ginger, Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orange Spice, Tetley Pomegranate Green Tea, M&S Chai Teabags, and Pickwick White Tea Soft Fruits.
I like to look out for specialty teas in bargain places such as Home Bargains or B&M Bargains - that Tetley Pomegranate Green Tea is only 99p a box, whilst the amazing Celestial Seasoning's tea was only 39p a box. I bought about 5 or 6 boxes at the time, but they've never had them back again so you have to stock up when you see them!
What is your favourite tea to have when you're hard at work? And do you have a whole tea drawer?!
Mmmmm... I love tea! I've recently started drinking a lot of loose varieties. Mountain Rose Herbs makes an amazing Chai tea, which is my favourite at the moment. I also have a lot of fun flavours from an independent teashop near my grandmothers cottage, such as Key Lime, Maple Blueberry, and Pumpkin Spice.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, all of those flavours sound so very 'North American'!! I would be interested to try them. I'll have to check out the tea shops next time I'm over the pond, sounds like the teas are very different to what we have!

I am trying to only have one cup of caffeinated tea a day now, so i have learned to love Tick-Tock, proper strong ginger tea with a hunk of lemon and also a camomile with honey if i fancy something sweeter, mmm!
ReplyDeleteI worked at Starbucks for a while which put me off nasty milky coffees for life, but actually, all their herbal teas were delicious, particularly the Orange Green tea, recommended!
That's very restrained of you Katie, cutting down to just one cup of caffeinated! I do love ginger and camomile teas, but I really can't stomach rooibos or peppermint teas, they make me nauseous for some bizarre reason.
DeleteI too worked in a coffee shop many years ago, and I had my fill of coffee then really, I don't drink much these days, maybe a nice strong one from the stove-top if my Baby is making one on the weekend.
Haven't tried the Orange Green tea, sounds delicious!

So invitingly lovely! That beats the pants off of number two pencils and paper clips inside an office drawer any day! :)

Seriously?? You have visited Gran Canaria! I live there!! There is little to tell about me ... I was born here and I live here too ... my two passions are ... English language and sewing. Although I have to admit I did not like tea ... Sorry.
ReplyDeleteOo, where in Gran Canaria do you live?? We stayed in Puerto Rico, bit touristy for us, but we did a few day trips too. I loved the Canarian sauces, Mojo Verde! Yet to attempt making this back in the UK.
DeleteThat's OK about the tea, it's an acquired taste and there are so many different types, you have to keep trying until you find one you like!
Gracias por su comentario!

I have a huge box of Yorkshire Tea in my drawer, I'm not a fan of fruit teas though I do like other varieties to ring the changes every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI was happily drinking my jasmine tea which I stocked up on and that must have been way past its best by date but when I finally ran out and got some new, the jasmine scent and flavour almost blew my head off! Delicious! I don't drink much real tea these days as it upsets my stomach, but oh I miss it.
