I always think a festival is an excuse to go a bit hippy and channel a '60s or '70s vibe, or 'boho' as they call it in fashion magazine these days. I left my hair to dry naturally, put on some glitter eyeliner and '70s style shades, and with this gorgeous psychedelic print top I was good to go! I did pack pink wellies, but didn't need them so stayed in my neon trainers.
Tunic: Peacocks
Necklace: Fabulize on Ebay
Sunglasses: Dorothy Perkins
Jeggings: Sainsburys
Trainers: Reebok
Bag: Vintage
What a glorious location. I'm a fan of smaller festivals these days, and I was very impressed with the facilities (no portaloos!) and the organisation behind The Heart of Rock and Blues Festival. A lovely bunch of people, and I really hope to be returning to the festival next year.
The really annoying thing was that the day after these photographs, I broke those sunglasses! Well, the teeny-tiny screw has come out of one of the arms. I'm hoping that my Baby will have some teeny-tiny screws in his DIY collection to mend it!
How do you dress for a festival? I'd love to hear about your festival look!

Marie @ In Our Happy Place
Thanks for visiting Marie! x
DeleteOh, great look! I like the balance of festival style, with the sunglasses and top and necklace, and practicality, with comfortable shoes and covered legs. I feel like most girls would be tottering around in a pair of wedges or sweating in a pair of boots.
ReplyDeleteI think both types of dresser were present! But also a couple in matching wolf t-shirts, and some very hippy tie-dye ensembles too, with a few bikers thrown in. It was tres cosmopolitan! x
DeleteWhat an absolutely gorgeous, picturesque view. It sounds like a blast! I am a musician ( guitar) and my ex boyfreind as well, we LOVED blues. I love your top, so pretty and colorful.

DeleteThis is a perfect boho inspired look :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley, I loved wearing it x
DeleteGreat festival look - and could I be more envious of your natural hair?! Mine sort of does what yours does, only much, much fluffier. I love that necklace, stunning colour x
ReplyDeleteTee hee, sometimes the fluff gets me too - I just use something to weigh it down, either an oil or a serum, or if I've not got products handy I just use a bit of any old moisturiser! x
Deletelove these photos, such a pretty setting. I'm not off to any festivals this year book :(
ReplyDeleteAw, maybe you can catch one of the little festivals they have put on down Cardiff Bay?? Free to go to! x

ReplyDeleteIt's possible to buy glasses repair kits - I'm not sure where I got mine from, but they have tiny screws in; I used them to repair my own specs.
