We were expecting friends for dinner, so I pulled out this old blue silk dress from M&S (via the charity shop) and put on some wedges. The finishing accessory? A margarita!
Dress, M&S
Shoes, Dune
Flower tiara, Primark
Cocktail glass, vintage!
Have you embraced the flowers in your hair trend? I want to wear them everyday but they're not really office appropriate!!

Gorgeous colours and such a stunning dress! I have some flower headbands for a festival fashion shoot that I'm doing next week!

Thanks Abbie - good luck with your shoot, will there be behind the scenes pics? Would love to see them x
DeleteLove it!!! We're on the same wavelength here, as I do have been yearning for a floral crown (headband) myself lately, too. None have been procured as of yet, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled for one in my price range and hope to have my first one before the summer is up. Time will tell!

I think a lot of the new hairbands are quite similar to some '50s cocktail hats - I'm sure you would rock one Jessica! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with x
DeleteI've seen loads of bloggers wearing floral crowns/headdresses, they often make their own too. I like a single flower myself! Your floral headband is very pretty (matches the base of your glass too!) and I love the rich shade of that beautiful dress. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! x
DeleteFunny you should ask, I'm wearing a flower in my hair right now! The sun has me sticking them behind my ear like there's no tomorrow - haven't tried a crown yet though. Love these colours together, makes me want more royal blue in my life x
ReplyDeleteI thought you might be, I remembered you had a thing for hair flowers! x
DeleteGorgeous dress and the flower band is also really sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely! x
DeleteHa! Not at my age, I'd look bloody ridiculous! Plus I'm naturally quite minimalist and hair flowers are too exuberant for my personal style. They look great on you, though.
ReplyDeleteOh go on Mim, stick a few flowers in! When it's sunny you can get away with exuberant dressing I feel far more than in the colder months x
DeleteLove the flower tiara! Such a pretty look!

DeleteI have a very cheap little flower headband thing that I pop on once in a while, but I would actually love one of those really massive floral headpieces. Yours is really nice for the price - I love that shade of pink on you.
ReplyDeleteAnd I never feel fully dressed at a party without a drink in my hand. ;)
You're bound to pick one up for the right price soon, they're everywhere! x
DeleteYou look so beautiful with your flower crown:) Lovely photography.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanna, you're sweet x
Deleteooo so so pretty. I have not tried flowers in my hair yet, they look so good on you though, And the blue dress is just stunning on you! Cheers to the margaritas!XX
ReplyDeleteThe margaritas were good, but very strong... I reckon you'd really rock a flowers look Rachel! x
DeleteThis outfit sure does suit the season, and how lovely these jewel tones look on you. Your flower headband is beautiful; I always think about wearing flowers in my hair, but I am never bold enough to do so, perhaps a headband is the way to go for me as well! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to post some pics if you try it out! x
DeleteI don't know about flowers in hair for me but for special occasions and photo shoots it looks dreamy!

I started small, with little ones just to tuck into an updo - now I'm brazen with my hair flowers! Thanks for stopping by x
DeleteRocking that flower crown. The fuchsia looks so well paired with the dark purple color, also. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ada x

DeleteThe last time I wore flowers on my head was when I was a bridesmaid and that was decades ago, lol! You look pretty though with the flower head band. ;)

Oh gosh I wore some awful tiara as a bridesmaid in the '80s! Thankfully the modern ones are much nicer x
DeleteThat flower crown is so pretty on you. I also love the mix of blue and red. You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely - I have to say that you're one of the people that's been inspiring me with brights! x
