It's not all about florals and pastels, there are many, many ways to interpret 'Spring', and I hope this post gives you some inspiration, wherever you live and whatever era you favour. This list is not by any means comprehensive, but I've tried to include some less well-known blogs, and bloggers of different ages, heights and sizes.
Dear Sunny
This is an utterly gorgeous occasionwear look for Spring, that you could wear to a wedding or for a special evening out. The silver shoes Yvonne's wearing are the magic touch for me.
Also looking glam for Spring, Italian blogger Valeria shows that you can look Spring-like and still stay warm (let's be honest that it can take a while to heat up in some countries!).
Va-Voom Vintage
Brittany uses separates in Spring colours of yellows and greens. I love the ankle socks and as yet haven't been brave enough to try them.
The Closet Historian
Bianca works a little Spring magic into this mainly black outfit with the coloured shoes and the fab print on that skirt that she cleverly made herself.
Silver Cat Tea Party
The colours in this Trashy Diva dress are just a riot of Spring! A super flattering dress choice by Christine.
The Clothes Horse
Rebecca is a new-to-me blogger but has a massive following. I love how she's paired black accessories with a golden yellow dress rather than keep it all pastel.
Singing Bird Vintage
Jenny shows us how fresh and bright a nautical look appears after a dull winter. It is such a timeless look, never going out of fashion!
Atomic Redhead
Janey keeps it simple in a pastel shirt dress. I can imagine so many different ways to accessorise this dress.
Southern (California) Belle
If I lived in California, I'd wear outfits like this all the time. Ashley shows us that you can look perfectly pretty in co-ords, giving the look of a dress, with the versatility of separates. Those splashes of neon pink make this set really pop.
It's not all about dresses and skirts - you can still keep your legs covered in some fabulous Spring vintage trouser looks.
Junebugs & Georgia Peaches
June shows that Spring doesn't have to be about pastels! Wearing black here, the green shades and the backdrop make it feel Spring perfect.
CiCi Marie
Another fabulous trouser look, this time with gingham. I really, really love the mint green with the pale blue, it looks super. (You can see how I styled these trousers here)
Nora Finds
Yellow is apparently a big trend for this year, so you could be vintage and en vogue at the same time if you follow Nora's lead and use a yellow Breton instead of the usual red or blue (which I predictably did in my take on the sailor look here).
Papermothball Vintage
Finally, I'll leave you with this stunning shot by Laura. No, it's not from Vogue, it's from her blog!! She happens to be a wonderful photographer and does these shots on a self-timer. I am feeling inspired to try some more '60s and '70s looks, as she has featured a few on her blog recently.
What do you think of these vintage inspired Spring looks? Do you have a favourite?

The first two are like works of art! Very diverse and imaginative outfits generally that you've picked here - I look like the dressed down poor relation in comparison! Still, I'm very happy to be featured of course :) hope you're having a lovely Easter xx
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine you ever being the poor relation, your look featured here is juist gorgeous and very inspiring for a daytime look! Thanks for letting me use your pic xx
DeleteCiCi Marie dont talk like that!! You look fresh and young and you are a beauty. Gingham is a hot trend this Spring and you are donning it with utmost refinement.

I loved seeing a blend of old favourites (I say that in a totally positive) light and newer faces that I've just been following for a few months to a year or so here. You've really done a terrific job of highlighting some of the best of the vintage and vintage influenced fashion world here, dear gal.

These are so fabulous! Obviously I'm pretty familiar with some of those faces, but there were a few that were new to me that I'm delighted to see. I really love that look for Dear Sunny (and that location - just jaw dropping), and the look from Nora Finds is making me really eager to get a new pair of pants that I just bought to the tailor. Thanks so much for all the fun inspiration, I'm so happy warm weather is finally getting here!
