As you can see, it's a bargainous outfit! Free dress, and charity shop accessories! I'm really impressed with the dress. It washes and wears well, the fit is spot on, and I have a feeling it's going to be a wardrobe staple this Autumn. The trees are just starting to turn here, and there's a crispness in the mornings despite the lovely warm afternoons we've been having when the sun's out. I haven't rushed to embrace Autumn this year, because we've had such a cold summer, but I'm finally starting to enjoy it - the evenings crisp enough to justify firing up the woodburner, comforting roast dinners, and getting to wear all of those lovely coats that I have been buying over the summer! This gorgeous shearling jacket with its fluffy lining was just £3 from a local charity shop and will make the drop in temperatures a bit more bearable. Have you had any bargains over the summer that you've been saving for the Autumn?

My summer bargains have all been for next summer! I always love 70s on you and that hat is exactly what I've been looking for! Everyone needs a big floppy hat like that... Haven't tried a Karina dress yet and perhaps if have to be careful if they fit you so ideally, but good to know about the quality. You are the epitome of casual glam here xx

Tres chic look! The 1970s did a really, really job of celebrating the spirit of the 1920s - 40s and I have a few such pieces in my closet, too. My favourite is a dark purple jersey wrap dress that looks almost startlingly authentic (40s, I mean). It's probably the comfiest dress I own and is an ideal piece for traveling in for that very reason.

ReplyDeleteI haven't got any massive bargains lately, though I have bought a couple of blouses in the Boden sale (which basically takes their price from 'eyewateringly expensive' down to 'affordable'). That said, they're in bold 1960s-style prints and work well with the direction my wardrobe seems to be evolving in, so they'll get worn a lot.
I only ever buy Boden in sales, with vouchers, or second hand, they are indeed expensive! I recently bought their velvet pom pom slippers. Can't wait to see pics of your tops xx
