Trousers: Primark
Top: Sainsbury's
Fan: Tacky tourist souvenir!
Wedge sandals: Faith, very old!
Hair flowers: Lily and Dot
I've really enjoyed the printed trouser trend over the last year or two - these wide-legged palm print trousers are probably as close to a pair of 1930s beach pyjamas as I'll ever get. I wore the black halter top last year, it was just a cheapy supermarket-buy in the last-minute panic of "Oh gosh we're going on holiday and I don't have anything to wear!". This year I decided that it was too long so the night before we flew I chopped a couple of inches off and re-hemmed it. Perhaps a tad short now, oops!
Those silk hair flowers by Lily and Dot were very disappointing, I had bought them as an option to wear on my wedding day but changed my mind, so ended up taking them on honeymoon instead. By the end of the week all three clips had snapped! I did get a full refund, but I got the impression it was grudgingly.

My husband loves wearing a suit. He works from home and wears jeans and a western shirt most days, so I think he likes the opportunity to smarten up. I did wonder if 36 degrees was a bit hot for a suit, but I suppose it did cool a little in the night, and he was rather determined!

Ok this is weird, not only does B live in jeans and a western shirt (in fact, you're going to see evidence of this on my blog soon as we also took some couple shots!), but I think his one suit is the exact suit your husband is wearing here. It's certainly an identical colour, and if I remember correctly Next weren't making many in this colour (he bought it a bit over a year ago). Weird!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you both look gorgeous in these photos and I always love seeing people's other halves posing too - why shouldn't everyone get in on the fun ;) I bought a very similar top to this one in Peacocks this year (in two colours in fact) and also not overjoyed with it - the cups and my bust have a real argument every time I try to wear them...
xx
This is so funny...your man and mine in the same clothes!! I can't wait to see your couple shots ;)
DeleteYou both look so stylish! Congratulations and I hope you've had a wonderful time. Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous couple!
ReplyDeleteMan, you guys look swanky! Beautiful photos, I love the golden light you captured. It's such a shame about the hair clips - I hate when something is that poorly made, and I'd be very annoyed if the company had so little pride in their product that they weren't eager to offer a refund. Nonetheless, they look great on you, and I love the 30s inspired outfit.
ReplyDeleteYou are both gorgeous! So glad you're having a brilliant honeymoon. -patti

That looks like a gorgeous hotel.
ReplyDeleteThose wide-legged trousers really suit you - and they work so well with both your 70s and 30s inclinations. They look ideal for Seville's heat.
Lots of Seville ladies were wearing those kind of trousers and they were in lots of shops too, so I guess they're a popular choice for the heat! They were super for travelling too, I wore them on trains, planes and buses.
DeleteYou both look fantastic and that hotel is stunning. I've always fancied visiting Seville but made do with a vast collection of tacky Flamenco dolls instead.
ReplyDeleteThose trousers are so easy to make, you could whip up a few pairs in a weekend. xxx
It is downright refreshing to hear of a chap who is happy to sport a suit when possible these days. You both look so chic, deeply happy, and content - just as one should on their honeymoon.

I love a man in a suit : )
ReplyDeleteThese photos will bring back such sweet memories for you two in the years to come. I wish I'd taken some on my honeymoon. (Which was just a night at a fancy hotel in the same city where we lived. LOL)
bisous

Both of you look great in these photos. We didn't take much photos on our honeymoon either, it was just time for the 2 of us.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week.

These photos are gorgeous - the light coming onto you in them is amazing! And those trousers are so lovely, I didn't realise they were Primark, thought they were vintage until I saw the listing! Oh and of course, your husband looks very smart - Next outlet suits are the best, good prices for very good quality.
