He'd forgotten about this coat in his large collection, until he came across it the other day. I think it's a bit 'lumberjack', but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!
Coat: Vintage, via thrift store in California.
Jeans: Levi's, car boot sale.
Boots: Scarpa.
Paperboy hat: Showground Flea Market, Nashville.
Gloves: Dents, via charity shop.
The coat is as cosy as it looks; it's another one I borrow sometimes. I wasn't looking my best, still unable to coordinate an outfit after my cold, and was in a ski jacket feeling a bit frumpy. This is all you get to see of me that day.
Your guy looks great. Actually, I should show this to my boyfriend - he's been really into what he calls 50s dockworker style, and I think this is the sort of thing he'd really like.
ReplyDeleteThe backdrops in these photos are making me swoon... so beautiful. I'd be happy to see my boyfriend in this jacket - and imagine he'd be wonderfully cuddly in it! And also, considering you'd recently been unwell you still look great. How can you not be stylish in that fringe ;) x
ReplyDeleteThose jackets were 'The' thing in the late 70's/early 80's I remember my brother having one!
ReplyDeleteThis cold that is doing the rounds really does knock you for 6 doesn't it? I hope you are feeling tip top very soon. x
Oh yes, I remember those jackets very well from the 70s. Your man looks cool! And as for you, you couldn't look frumpy if you tried, you daft thing! Hope your cold disappears very soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteI've got a waiting list of chaps looking for a lumberjack coat, your bloke looks great in his! xxx
ReplyDeleteYour Mr is one stylish dude! The jacket is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou're both looking cool - what a handsome fellow! Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xox.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea featuring the Hubby! Great pics!! -xx

Your husband-to-be looks fab in this! Nice to be able to fall back on using some men's style photos when you're not feeling your best.

Perfect jacket. I don't think it's lumberjack-y at all. Just plaid & rad.

I love this post. I love that you are introducing us to your soon to be husband and the wildness of both where you are and how your dressed. His coat is lumberjack but also so cool and trendy right now. There's a reason that plaid has made such a huge come back, all of these heritage fabrics are strong and bold for both men and women.
ReplyDeleteOh and that last picture of you...pretty, so pretty!

I agree that there are some classic fabrics that just shouldn't have gone away in the first place!!
