I tried out a new hair-do, which was my version of a tutorial over at CiCi-Marie. I don't know about you, but I find it really hard to follow tutorials excactly, as everyone's hair behaves differently, so my version veered off a bit! Still, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and have since been perfecting it.
Gingham shirt: F&F at Tesco, years and years ago
Jeans: Levi's, via charity shop
Sandals: Linea, House of Fraser
Bag: Bikini, Gift
Suglasses: Primark
There's a little story about those shoes - I was walking through Cardiff city centre many years ago and saw a girl wearing these very style of sandals. They were exactly what I had been looking for, and had been unable to find, so I went up to her and asked her where they were from. They were from House of Fraser, and conveniently I was around the corner from the store at the time so I went straight there and bought them immediately. Have you ever made a purchase based on seeing someone wearing something you loved in the street?

I'm so proud you attempted my tutorial :D I think what you've come up with suits you - I can see my roll in there too ;) if everybody's hair looked the same, we'd get tired of looking... I haven't forgotten your request for my little beehive tutorial either, one day I might even get round to it! I love this cute casual outfit and you were so brave for asking where the shoes came from. And what beautiful shoes they are too! xx
ReplyDeleteEverybody's hair is different so I figure just work with what your own hair does rather than trying to replicate something exactly! (my excuse anyway...)

SUPER! That bag is cute
ReplyDeleteThat last shot! So good. I'm digging the casual cute outfit, the shoes do a great job making a simple gingham shirt and jeans look a bit fancy.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever bought something after seeing someone on the street wear it, but I did buy my current swimsuit (a leopard print bikini) after seeing someone post a picture on Instagram. Does that count?

lol....but WHERE are the photos of you vacuuming in a bikini? !! #notgonnahappen !
ReplyDeleteHah, I notice you don't share any vaccuuming photos ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see a 'not special enough for blogging' outfit; everyday style is still style, and possibly more inspirational in many ways. After all, we can all make an effort for a special occasion, whereas everyday style is something that can slip. (It often does in my case, at any rate...)
Wonderfully fun outfit! Gingham is one of the best patterns ever. I live it all year round, but especially during the summer. I just picked up a second hand pink and white gingham shirt last month and am really enjoying putting through its paces while there's still toasty sunshine around.

ReplyDeleteSuch a cool rockabilly look, and what a lovely location too! xx
ReplyDeleteA great casual look!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't ventured into jean wearing despite much persuasion from my daughter and best friend but understand that Levis are a good fit and very comfy. I will keep a lookout in my local charity shops!
I love everything about this outfit! Such a great look! Plus Gingham!!! :D
