I'm very pleased with the set. The nightgown is cut on the bias, so I went for a size medium and was pleasantly surprised that it is fairly long on me. It's a very flattering cut, which I don't think I've quite conveyed with these photos - I honestly feel like a slim, statuesque siren in it. The fabric is lovely, it's that gorgeous deep black that has an almost blue tinge in low light. The robe has batwing sleeves and covered buttons at the wrist, for a 1930's touch (of which I'm most appreciative). It really is lovely. If it's a little too gothic for you, they also have the 'Grace' set, with more ruffles and girlyness. I do wear quite a lot of black so I'm not adverse to it. Do you like black nightwear, or are you all puppy-print pyjamas?

Thank you Mrs P! X
DeleteI love classic and elegant nightwear, satin and silk AND black as well, although I surprisingly don't have any nightwear in black. I think I need to check out their products since I'd love a longer nightgown and/or robe to wear. My boyfriend might like it more than those wornout pajamas where more than half of the buttons have come off :D
ReplyDeleteTheir stuff is pricey but they have sales, so worth a look! I am sure your boyfriend loves you whatever you wear ;) xx
DeleteSuper sexy - wow! What a nice piece to add to your collection :) love the moody photos too, you're so creative with your indoor shots. One day I will brave more - but I think I need a different house first!! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a lot of fun, though lighting can be hard and I always have to move stuff around! Xx
DeleteOh, that's a lovely set. You can't beat good nightwear (says she, who lives alternating two sets of Monsoon flannel pyjamas - satin would get wrecked by tiny kitten-claws).
ReplyDeleteMonsoon nightwear's great though, and one has to be practical! X
DeleteGreat photos! And I really like your dressing table. I've been looking around for something similar but so far have not found anything I like that is also in my budget.

Thanks, the dresser was from a community recycling place so was less than £20 I think! X
DeleteWhat a fantastic set, swoon! And I love Jane Eyre hair! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you, I need more practice at updos though! X
DeleteA matching pair, how fabulous! Nightwear seems so decadent and luxurious. I feel like you need to take a trip on the orient express and pack this set, it would fit right in.
ReplyDeleteNow you're talking, I would love an Orient Express journey!! Xx
DeleteThese pictures are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's got to be glamorous nightwear every time for me, I can't stand onesies or anything with a girlie, cutesy print on it. I'm a woman, not a 12 year old girl! I love the look of this set and that last photo shows off the shape of the sleeves much better than the KMD photos. Not sure I could justify buying one though as I already have a black satin robe and KMD's sheer Elle robe. xx
ReplyDeleteOo you have the Elle!! I nearly bought it in purple but then they sold out. Xx
DeleteI have it in black but really wished I'd got the red one from several years ago. That colour was particularly stunning! xx
DeleteGreat photos! Very creative.

DeleteWonderfully moody and magnificent! Your updo looks fantastic and really suits you and how sexy is the back of that nightie?
ReplyDeleteI don't wear anything in bed but can't resist a vintage nightie. Wait till you see the one I bought yesterday! xxx
Oo I am excited to see what you've found now!! Xx
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteWhat fantastically atmospheric photos! This looks like a lovely set.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate-Em! Xx
DeleteGosh That nightdress set is magnificent! These photos are fabulous, so wonderfully atmospheric and utterly glamourous! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Wendy! It feels queenly to wear xx
DeleteWell don't you look all sexy and severe! I feel like you're about to slap me - in a good way. :P
ReplyDeleteFantastic details on that nightgown and robe set. I love the cutout detail on the back of the nightgown, and the sleeves with the covered buttons are such a dramatic shape. I don't know if I could resist wearing that out of the house!
Ha! No husbands were hurt in the making of this shoot..
DeleteIt really could be worn to a party couldn't it? Maybe I'll think of an occasion! Xx
Wowwwww! These photos are amazing and that robe set is beautiful! I love the mood of these images, you are a total babe x
ReplyDeleteStunning! I am so jealous, that's just beautiful. I'm totally up for the slightly gothic drama look. My birthday is coming up, might drop hints!
ReplyDeleteHead-turningly enchantingly! What a stunning shoot and ensemble. I swear, you inspire me to up my own lingerie game, dear Porcelina.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs & happy start of March wishes,
♥ Jessica
wow! spectacular woman!
ReplyDeletereally sweet and great photoshoot too! The bias cut is very flattering
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo shoot. You carry this colour off so well, which isn't easy. It's very goth, yet elegant too if that makes sense. I bought some silk pyjamas for my recent holiday feature and couldn't quite go the whole hog to pose like this in them. You look sensational x

I love it when you do these photo shoots for your blog. It's fun imagining the story you are telling with these photos. I really love the atmosphere you've created here.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteYou look like princess Leia in the last photo.
