Pink For Spring

Saturday was the most glorious day of the year so far.  After a productive car-boot mission, we returned home to enjoy the blossom bursting forth, Wales playing like their lives depended on it in the rugby, and some rather nice Sauvignon Blanc sipped whilst sat on our porch.

It was still a tad nippy, so I was glad of the ridiculously fabulous pink faux fur trimmed cardi I picked up in January, but oh the sunshine.  We stayed out until the sun dipped behind the mountains opposite.

I can't wait for more days like these, it's turned again this week and we actually had hailstorms in Cardiff today!

Is Spring well and truly blooming with you?  Do you feel the urge to wear pink?!

  1. Darling,
You should make this viral - and let all folk post about "pinki(ing)" their spring. :)

  2. Isn't it heavenly to get outside again? The Mr and I have been tidying our garden for the past couple of weekends, and it was so lovely to go out on the patio this morning (albeit to rescue a blown-over plastic greenhouse!) and feel how light and fresh everything was. You probably have a much nicer view at the top of the valleys, though.

Pink? Naaaah! I have a couple of bits, but not much, and since dyeing my hair red it hasn't been my best colour. That pink of your fur collar is smashing, though, a much nicer colour than Barbie pink.

    1. I've started to get back into pink, probably trying to make up for my brief goth phase!!

It is indeed heaven to be outside in the sunshine, so gorgeous. Our garden needs a bit of tidying too, we've made a start, but lots more to do. Need to plan the veg planting too, I have grand plans for this year!!

  3. I love the pink fur - why ever wouldn't you want to wear pink fur?! Saying that, I have so few things in pink because like you I had a goth phase... during which I decided pink was the enemy. And I've never shaken that thought since! That Voodoo Vixen dress I was given is probably the item in my wardrobe now with the most pink on it! xx

  4. Wow! Looks lovely. Since it was snowing on my way back from the Dr.'s office and we were just joking about this great "Spring" we're having ummm....no. It's not Spring here. Not even close. This year our Canadian winter is living up to all the worst misconceptions about it. I seriously hate it.

No desires whatsoever to wear pink yet. LOL But you do look darn cute in it : )

  7. I feel the urge to wear pink pretty much all the time. :P But maybe that's just me.
Chicago is a crazy city for weather. One day it's spring, the next day it's summer, the day after that it feels like winter again. I mostly just keep telling myself it'll warm up eventually.

  10. What lovely pictures, they are the perfect tonic to the greyer than grey day were are having here, nothing beats blossom against a blue sky!! I always though I hated pink being a confirmed tomboy, but gradually its been creping in to my wardrobe, by stealth, so I must actually really rather like it after all!

  12. Are we in a mini weather microcosm here? Where is all this gorgeous weather everyone is talking of? I've managed to get one afternoon in the garden when it was absolutely freezing but I ignored the cold and carried on. It has been very cold, grey and wet here. Spring is just about starting to appear.

I think I can safely say I have never had the urge to wear pink lol.

  13. Hi there - I think the best bloggers to ask these kind of questions are www.foreveramber.com and www.notdressedaslamb.com - they both do a whole series of blogging tips and specialise in that area. Good luck!

    1. Brrr! Yes it's still very much winter ina few places, I think parts of Scotland had a bit more snow this week. I think warm clothes in Spring colours is a super idea to help lift the spirits when the temperature's still low x
