I've pledged to receive either the 'Grace' or 'Leonie' 1930s' inspired gown and robe sets, saving £85. I'm still a bit torn as to which one to go for, but I think 'Leonie' is slightly in the lead because the dressing gown is a bit more practical for covering up when the post lady's at the door. And those batwing sleeves are wonderful, especially with the button detail at the cuffs.
If you can't stretch to pledging for some knickers, you can chip in from £1. And if you can't make a contribution on any level, you could still end up with a custom corset if you enter their murder mystery competition. Just watch the videos, share the campaign, and guess who the murderer is. I've placed my bet already, I have a hunch.
All of their items are made in the UK and they really do source quality fabrics and make designs that are entirely practical and wearable on a daily basis, not just for the boudoir. I have a couple of their roll on girdles, a few of their bra and knicker sets, and a Vargas dress. More information on their Kickstarter campaign is on their page here.
What do you think of their range?
It's all very beautiful, but all completely useless for the petite, but curvy, among us... (I already know the lingerie sets won't feature my bra size as nothing ever does!). I hope you get your hands on something lovely though! This stuff was made for your negligee collection ;) xx
ReplyDeleteThey have expanded their size range to do a 32-36 B to G now, which is fab, but they still don't do an A cup for me...yet. Let's hope they can expand their range even further in future, as their stuff if really lovely. xx
DeleteI'm like Caley, short and curvy. I'm a 32 F so stuggle to get anywhere to do my size so I'm very happy they've expanded. I've been looking for some nigh wear like this so it might be time to invest!
DeleteAh well, as 38A cup that's me out too then. (I find it near impossible to find undies in my size.) I do love both robes, though I suspect if their bra sizes are anything to go by they won't go up to my size in those either.......
ReplyDeleteI'm 36A but find in their plunge styles I can wear a 36B. Their robes and nightwear come in small, medium and large, and I find I'm normally a medium in those. Part of the reason they're doing this kickstarter is to be able to expand their size range, which smaller brands can't normally afford to do. But I hear you as an A cup how hard it is to get underwear in my size! Good old M&S, not sure what I would do without them!! x
DeleteIs it too much to say I want all of the above? Beautiful, so elegant and glamorous! I could wear it under my pajamas and still feeling like a star from the old Hollywood era.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see KMD finally producing something new. I've been a fan of theirs for several years now and have tons of their stuff, including the amazing Elle Robe, but have felt that everything recently was just a rehash of their older styles. I remember when they were first talking about the new nightwear range and I fell in love with the Leonie nightgown instantly, it's fab to now see it in production. Not sure I'll go for anything, mainly because I don't actually *need* any more lingerie, but I do hope it's successful for them. I'd love to see anything you decide to get though! xx
ReplyDeleteSome of the older styles I really like (their plunge bra alouette style isn't made in my size but I can get away with a bigger cup size in that style, so I was happy for that to be re-made in other fabrics!), and some of the pop-up brands have been good, but I agree that it's nice to see something completely new. I'll definitely share pics of me wafting around in the nightgown and robe! Not until next year though, so we have a bit of a wait. x
DeleteThose rich, elegant cranberry red pieces are slaying me! Swoon! I also adore that some of these offerings are full length. I tend prefer my linger as such (or at least below the knee, where applicable) and its a refreshing change of pace to see a company offering so many gorgeous products that are that length.

Such lovely picks! Both gown and robe sets are so completely dreamy! That Grace set does have some extra vamp to it though doesn't it! I'm sure either one you chose will be absolutely amazing though! Good luck with the murder mystery contest!
ReplyDeleteIf I lived in California, I'd go for the Grace. But as I live in cold Wales, I think the Leonie robe will offer better coverage and therefore will get worn more! x
DeleteGaaaah I really like one of those sets (the Angelou) AND they're finally doing my bra size but I don't get paid till after the Kickstarter... I might dip into my savings; there's nothing worse than someone who grizzles all the time about sizing (ie me) then doesn't buy stuff when it's offered.
ReplyDeleteThe Angelou is drop-dead gorgeous isn't it? Naughty, dipping into savings! Early Christmas present perhaps from Mr Robot?? x
DeleteHeh, I'll replace it next month - I've done almost all my Christmas shopping this month, so won't need to spend much in December.
DeleteI'm in love with the Angelou set, but money is so tight right now! On the plus side, it looks like they've already made their goal and then some, but I'm a bit disappointed I can't afford to contribute at the level where I'd get a nice new set of knickers out of it.
ReplyDeleteAw, I have to say that they do have sales in future so keep your eyes peeled! They stock them at Joanna's Wardrobe and Hepburn and Leigh to name a few. Maybe next year you'll get them with a massive discount?! xx
DeleteI am the new one
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful !! these are fantastic!
